Scarowinds 2013

The girls love Carowinds, I mean, LOVE.  We got to take them one last time to Scarowinds during the day.  They have made it a lot less scary, more kid friendly.  The girls got to go trick or treating while there, and also got to ride all kinds of rides and pick out a little pumpkin.
Daddy following the girls into the maze.
 With their new teeth.
Jocelyn took her time picking out her pumpkin.  She kept looking and looking until we had to go!

Daphne with her new teeth riding on the train.
 I love this face!
 Riding the carousel.
Riding together on one of the rides!

Jace's baptism

We got to see Jace get baptised.  We took family pictures, but I can't seem to locate them right this minute.  He did a good job.  The girls loved seeing him up front.

Unfortunately, someone was not feeling the best.  Jocelyn fell asleep during the church service, which is very unusual for her.  Then we went to lunch, where she slept the whole time.  She was really hot an didn't eat (crazy for her!).  She was out most of the week being terribly ill.  She was great at cuddling though!

Renaissance Festival 2013

Clinton and I took the girls to the Renaissance Festival.  They enjoyed all the kings, queens, fairies, and all the other characters.  We let them do the gold maze, where they went in search of gold coins and got to go down a big slide.

 Tree!

Daphne got to see the fairy by herself once while Jocelyn was asleep in the stroller.  The fairy gave her a stone too.  Problem with that was the fact that she dropped it and we couldn't find it after that.  Naturally we were upset.
While at the Renaissance Festival, the girls made their very own candles.  They are so proud of them.  We have to light them quite often.  The candles are very pretty and colorful.

We love the fall!

Since it is starting to get a little cooler, we have been outside more and more.  Since we took the pool down, it left a perfect barren circle for a fire pit in the yard.  At first, Clinton wasn't too happy, but now it's not so bad.  (I just have to remember to put the pool back EXACTLY where the hole is next year).
Playing football outside, and rolling down the hill.
Camping outside and cooking on the firepit.

Of course the neighbors are here!  The girls love them so much!
 Jocelyn playing in the playroom.
 Daphne playing dressup.
The girls spend hours downstairs.  Now if only it was clean at the end of that time!  It's a good thing we can close the door so no one sees!
A beautiful sunrise one morning on our way to school.
 The three kids playing outside.
Jocelyn has figured out she can swing well on her belly.  She loves spinning in them.  She also has recently turned in her pink swing for a big girl yellow swing!
Big kids rolling down the hill!

We play in only panties some days...that's how we roll.

Cabin with the Sigmons

The weekend after camping, we went to the cabin for the weekend.  We took our friends Charity and Bryson with us.  The girls and Bryson had a blast!
 Playing on the porch.
Tons and tons of playing with toys and games.  We played a pizza game for a long time, went to the candy store, and did a little exploring and hiking.
Watching a movie together on the chair.
Jocelyn and Elmo, with a hiding Bryson.

Camping with E and J

The girls got to go on their first outside the backyard camping trip.  I believe when it gets warmer again we will be going a whole lot more often.  They really enjoyed getting to sleep in the tent and run around outside all day.
Silly girls making faces through the bug net.

Hours of playing inside and outside the tent.
Our little family area around the campfire.
Clinton and Emilee early in the morning.  Thank goodness for coffee and hot tea to wake everyone up.
 Playing in the dirt.
 Caterpillars became their little pets.
Trying to figure out how to climb the tree.

 I see feet!
J gave Daphne the job of carrying the emergency pack.  She was very adamant about that.  It stayed with her the whole time, carrying the "snacks", and other very important things in case something happened while we were out by ourselves.  J kept quizzing her to make sure she knew everything that was in there, and she could tell him exactly what it contained and which part of the bag it was in.  It was very cute.
We went to the lake edge and the girls slowly got in it more and more.
See, it took all we had to get the pack off her back.  Sitting with Emilee!
 The girls and mommy!
Jocelyn and Daphne got in the lake up to their feet.  After a few minutes, they were in up to their knees.  Jocelyn had pants on, so we took them off so she didn't get them completely soaked.  The next thing we knew, she was bent over and her panties were wet.  Needless to say, we let her play naked in the lake.  Daphne joined her shortly.  Luckily, no one was there besides us.  Em and I carried them back to the campsite.
Both girls fell asleep very quickly after we got back.  Daddy took a nap too.  It's hard not to nap with them snuggled up.

After lunch and the hike, we went to the beach.  The place we camped was near Statesville, so it wasn't too far, and it had a great little beach area.  It was warm enough to jump in, so that's exactly what we did!

 Girls playing around the campsite.
I love that cute little face.
Someone put face paint on Daphne and she became camoflauged.  It was hilarious.  She would run around camp "hiding" to see if we would notice her or not.
 Leaf Girl!
Do you see the big stick?
Nothing over there by the picnic tables huh?
 That's one really big log!
