Day 1 - Magic Kingdom

Day 1 was spent at the Magic Kingdom.  I can totally see how people can get swept up in the magic of this place.  I mean, random parades in the middle of the day, people getting to be a kid again.  It's truly a magical place.  With that being said, it is also a place that is easy to get emotions in the way because you are tired and hungry.  This lesson is what we had to learn the hard way.  The kids would get so upset over little things because they were tired, big kids would be mad because they were hungry.  It's now no secret as to why they feed you so much on the meal plans.  It's smart to keep all parties involved fed and watered.  We also learned that strollers were needed, even for the two big girls.  This helped a lot when it came to happiness.  Jocelyn was the hardest to please because she won't smile if she's not feeling it, and it doesn't help that she can be painfully shy at times.  After the first few Character visits, she got better.  Phoebe was a great sport along for the ride the whole week.  Daphne was happy and excited as long as she was fed!  The pictures aren't really in any particular order though!
Jocelyn getting signatures on her own.
C was so proud to be at Disney World for the first time in his life!

 Phoebe was passed out
P wasn't sure about her hat.  It kept getting in her eyes and she wanted to see EVERYTHING.
Daphne and Paw in the teacups
Several other crazies in another teacup
So happy in the "It's a Small World" Ride
One of Jocelyn's favorite place...Be Our Guest.  We ate lunch here.  We learned if you want to meet Beauty and the Beast, you needed to eat dinner.  Lesson learned.  Lunch was still yummy and we got to eat the famous "grey stuff"
I sprang to get the kids' faces painted.  Daphne went on Space Mountain with the older kids, so Mimi and I stayed with the three little ones who weren't quite tall enough.  Face painting fun was necessary!  J had a hard time with the height because in her mind she's a daredevil and feels she can do it.  Height shouldn't be an issue.  There was only one or two rides she couldn't go on.  Jace had a few more he couldn't ride on, but he'll be tall enough the next time we go!
Jocelyn eating the grey stuff.  She had to put a little on her nose!
 Obviously Phoebe loved it too!
Daphne and Uncle Brian were part of the play of Beauty and the Beast.  Daphne was "Chip" and Uncle Brian was an armored soldier.
The most precious thing happened while here.  Jocelyn's favorite princess of all time is Belle.  She had picked this flower she found just for Belle and made sure to keep it safe the whole time we were in line and watching the skit.  At the very end, all of the kids, big and small, could come up and give hugs and take pictures.  When Jocelyn's turn came, she gave Belle her flower.  You would have thought Belle had never been given a flower before.  It was absolutely amazing!  J did this on her own too!
Phoebe was too funny about meeting characters.  She couldn't quite figure them out at times.
Caitlin came with us and the girls HAD to see Ariel since she was their favorite!
Daddy, mom and Phoebe riding in the shells to see the Little Mermaid.

Lumiere was neat!  He was animatronic, but you would have thought he was the real thing.  The measures the Disney people go to to make this place a magic place is amazing.  Definitely worth the money to go!
 The Grey Stuff

Paw was determined to find something that Phoebe was super excited about.  Finally she was over the moon about Squirt, the little turtle from Finding Nemo.

 Paw and Jace
You can tell the kids are getting tired!
We stood in line to meet Tinkerbell.  This was one of the first characters the girls got to meet.  J was still pretty scared by this point.
Obviously Lauren was over the moon to meet Tinkerbell!

 Strollers for everyone=less whining

Daphne on Space Mountain.  Daddy and Shannon had to hold her in her seat because she almost came out at one point!
P had to help us fight the aliens.

Oh the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train...Jocelyn was in heaven on this ride.  The squeals of excitement from both big girls was infectious!  We really can't wait to go back!
