More zoo pictures...

Yes, we took a million pictures and looked like tourists :)

The lizard was too hot to sit on!
The elephant was too high for my big self to get up on, and there were several people watching, so I just pretended to get on it.
Pretty flowers in the gardens.

Jellyfish!!!

Anniversary Trip...

Clinton and I went to Columbia, SC for our one year anniversary. It was so much fun! We went to the Riverbanks Zoo, went to eat different places, got lost (on purpose) around the town, and had a good ole' time. The zoo was very hot and we were there for like 6 hours, but I powered through it, big belly and all. We've decided to power through everything and not complain so I will be a pro by labor day :)

This was me standing in front of a really cool fountain set in the gardens part. We went there first because Clinton really likes looking at the gardens. It was pretty and parts of it reminded us of being in the rainforests in Maui. Of course it made us want to go back, but a lot of things do that!
This toucan was just plain neat.

Clinton got to feed these birds nectar from his hands. The bird really wanted to be the only one getting anything from the cup, so he hopped up on Clinton's arm.
Of course we took a picture of the entrance!
This is an anaconda. We were so close to it. It's a little scary that this 15 foot long snake was separated from us by a little piece of glass.
Us at the giraffes. I waited all day to see the African animals because they were in the back the first time we went around. The people were cleaning their areas out, so they were getting check ups.
The elephants were so close to us! We almost touched one and one wanted attention so bad that it was banging his feet up against the gate where they come and go.
Overall, it was an amazing trip. The only animals we did not get to see were the warthogs and the hippos. It was too hot for them when we went by and they were in the back getting water and food. We got to watch them feed the penguins, all the sharks and other tropical fish, and the sea lion. He did a lot of little tricks for us. The little kids that were around us were yelling and screaming they were so excited. It was cute. We will definitely be taking the baby to the zoo when she gets here.
We ate our anniversary cake, which was surprisingly still good after a year. It was very rich, and we didn't realize that until now. Probably because that was the first time we had really gotten to eat anything from our wedding! On our wedding day we actually only ate the one bite of cake for the camera and then my aunt and uncle stopped at Wendys on our way to the airport so we could eat. That was a fun night.
I do have to say that this has been a wonderful year for us and we can't wait for more and more to spend together. Next year we will go someplace different just the two of us so we can celebrate year #2 together :)

Working on the baby's room...

We have had lots of fun working on the baby's room. We have also had soooo much help! Of course this help has been from our own four-legged children, but it has been interesting to watch them interact with all this new stuff. We are trying very hard to get them settled and okay with this before she graces us with her presence.

The two of them were helping daddy put the crib together.
Their new favorite place to sleep during the day is the pack and play. They like to lay under the changing table part to hide and sleep on the surf board we have in there also. Oreo has found a new place, but Cole still really likes to stay in there.
This is Oreo's new spot to jump in and out of.
Mac will be great with this. He doesn't care as long as he has a place to sit and someone occasionally pets him.
This is Oreo sleeping in the crib with all the other stuff we have thrown in there for now.

We are in the process of finishing up the baby room. My friend Alison is coming soon to paint a mural on the big white wall. We have painted the rest of the room green and yellow. It is so so cute. We have been working very hard on this...okay Clinton has done most of the work (like painting and building things), but I have been there to supervise :). He doesn't want me doing all that much lifting and stuff since it is so hot outside. You gotta love him for caring so much. I did get to build the exersaucer, so I was excited by that. I am also doing the rest of the decorating now that everything is built. He knows I want it done a specific way, so he is staying out of the way and in there to move stuff for the millionth time! There will be more pictures up as soon as we get the baby room completely finished.
