Daphne's 4th Candy Land party

Daphne turned 4 during the Olympic Games on August 8th.  We all had a very nice dinner at Dos Amigos with the family.  Daphne and Jocelyn has loved watching the Olympic Games with mommy.  Mommy LOVES the DVR!  We had days and days worth of the games, and it was great since we were getting back into the groove of school.  The first few pictures are from her crown at Carowinds, but the rest is from her party on the 18th.  She had several of her little friends over for hamburgers, hotdogs, candy, and root beer floats.
She sat very still the whole time while the woman was painting on her crown.
We even got jewels and glitter!

Ok...now on to the birthday pictures.  We had a Candy land theme.  That meant lots and lots of candy and sweets.
Mommy made a happy birthday sign for D.
Daphne's Candy Bar

Personalized treat bags...yes, they took this home as well as a bag of candy!
Lollipop lane for the sack race
The start of the Candy Land obstacle course!
The boys getting ready for the gauntlet at the gumdrop pass
And they are off...
Bubble blowing...
doughnut on a string eating...
M&M finding...

and EVERYONE had to try to find them...
We made it through!
Brian getting ready for some pay back after having whipped cream thrown in his face :)
After the obstacle course, the kids (big and small) started throwing water balloons at each other.
Brendan decided to spray whipped cream on my head.  Don't worry, he got a little payback.  More will come to him when he least expects it!

Mommy is getting a lot better at the cake decorating.
haha, even Clinton got a little whipped cream on him

Blowing out the candles
Daphne got a soccer ball gum ball, and Jocelyn was VERY interested in it
This has become our new favorite game!
What a smile!  Along with all of those Squinkies!  D feels like such a big girl because she has to play with them on the kitchen table and Jocelyn can't get them.
ooh, ooh, what is it!
That face shows the excitement of SOCCER GOALS!
Sugar high + goal building = interesting noises
Little girl on a sugar high.  We watched her stick her tongue out and in while running around until she litterally looked at us, then fell over.  haha
While daddy and Emilee were building the soccer goals, Daphne opened her other present from Emilee...an APRON.

This is Jocelyn in the background laughing while trying to run into the soccer goal
We like to eat a bite of pudding in our apron while taking a break from starting dinner.

Middle/End of Summer 2012

The summer went by very quickly.  It's now halfway through August, school is back in session, and we are crazy people running everywhere.  Here is a cap of what has gone on.
Jocelyn learned the best place to put her milk cup in the fridge was so she could get it later.  She runs in there any time someone opens the door.
Brian's birthday cake made by yours truly.  I am getting better (I think) every time.
Jocelyn playing in the diaper box.  Oreo is in there too.
 Wonder woman
 Daphne playing at Carowinds.
Daphne being a great big sister and sharing her Dippin Dots.  We had to get these every time we went to Carowinds on our way out of the water park.  We went 15 times total.  Money well spent, especially since we only really paid for gas and the ice cream.  We would take a picnic and eat outside the park.  Great idea!  I can't wait for next year when J gets just a little bit bigger, and D gets tall enough to ride more rides.  She was just short for several of them!
Jocelyn playing at the pet store.  She would stare at each animal the whole time we were there.
Mommy and Daphne went on a date to see Brave.  We both got dressed up and had a wonderful time.
Trying to help J see the animals closer.
Two peas in a pod eating ice cream at Cherry Berry.
 Family picture at Chili's.
The girls utilizing the art center.
Jocelyn eating a cupcake at the cabin
 Loving the lemons.

 Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles!

Daphne got to ride on the big girl cars for the first time.  J has passed out.  That day was HOT!
We are playing soccer this year.  She is on a team in Maiden.  We are picking out her shin guards, shoes, and a ball for part of her birthday present.  She (of course) had to get pink!  Mommy is even her coach!

Swimming to the other side of the pool.
Mimi and Paw bought Daphne and mommy matching warm up suits for soccer.
Daphne's cookie cake we had on her birthday at Dos Amigos.
Yes, they put the hat on her.
 ...along with the whipped cream.
 J liked the cookie cake.
 Bryson did too!
Big girl bike!!! AND a place for Alvin!
The girls singing together.  It was adorable listening to them.
Jocelyn got a new baby for her birthday.  It has become out friend that goes everywhere with us...literally everywhere.
