Summer o' Fun 2013

Despite this very rainy summer, we have been on the go a lot.  We have played the whole time with Bryson during the week.  The girls have loved him over everyday (at least most days).  The three of them act like siblings, loving each other one minute, and arguing the next.  I have enjoyed this long summer, and can't believe it is already coming to an end in a few weeks.
With lots of rain, comes lots of water in our yard.  This is after only a few minutes of rain.  By the time the rain quit during our flooding, it was waaaaayyy up in the yard, past the pool in our backyard.  We are now having to fix our basement from all the water damage.  Luckily, we aren't having to get rid of anything important and the biggest damage was in the storage room.  We will be investing money in the Rubbermaid stock to put the remaining items into bins for safe keeping in there.  Clinton and my dad are working hard at getting the walls sealed again and hopefully prevent this from happening again.
Needing a snack during pool time.
Gees the lizard is getting huge!
 Playing in the pool
 The 3 Musketeers!

Riding the Balloon Ride at Carowinds with Daddy, Jocelyn, Shannon, and Daphne.  Mommy stayed to take pictures and hold our stuff.  Jocelyn is a dare devil.
Daphne and Bryson on the swings.
Two best friends getting ready for the space ship to take off.
Such a big girl!  She rode the space ships all by herself!  She has even ridden on one of the roller coasters and LOVED it.  Daphne rode the Woodstock roller coaster for the first time this summer.  She was finally tall enough.  Although she was scared, she enjoyed it.  As long as she doesn't have to do it again haha!
Asleep on the way home from Carowinds.  The car ride there was very loud.  The car ride home...was silent!
Daphne fast asleep, Bryson's little feet sticking out.
All curled up in the back seat.
We went to the ZooTastic Park in Mooresville.  We played with Noah and Bailey while we were there.  The kids enjoyed the animals.  Daphne wasn't feeling the greatest that day, but she survived.
 Jocelyn looking at the turkey.
All of them watching the tigers.
Daphne is feeding a tiger.  Bailey is helping her.
 yumm...meat!
Clinton had his birthday on June 27th.  He turned 31!  Yes, this is a grown man's birthday cake.  haha!  Mommy made it.  I am getting better at decorating, slowly but surely.  I got a few comments about the icing being fondant, so I am taking that as a compliment at my smoothing skills ;)  We also celebrated uncle Brian's birthday at the same time since his was June 29th.
Uncle Brian, mommy and Jocelyn went out in the rain looking for frogs.  We found several.  Jocelyn was soooo excited by this.  She had to hold the cup to show daddy and Paw Paw.
My big girl has found a new love...sushi.  She loves eating Chinese with chopsticks, and will eat several pieces of sushi, as long as it is shrimp or crabmeat (both cooked sushi).
Look at the pro chopstick handler
Aunt Tiff came by to take a road trip to Carowinds with us.  We played outside the night she got there on our scooters and Razors.
The big kids with Charlie Brown.
 that silly Snoopy!
Taking a rest before the Charlie Brown show
Getting a sip of water.  I don't know what we are going to do when she outgrows the stroller.  That may mean I will have to carry the bag of stuff AND our drinks.
 She's cool like that
In line for the Boo Blasters ride.  This was a popular one and we had to ride it twice.  Jocelyn even rode it the second time.
Jocelyn is a wiz at the iPad.
The days it rained, we pulled the cars out and rode in the garage.

Mommy had to two weeks of science class where she got to do some cool things with liquid nitrogen.  One of them was to make ice cream!  We learned how they make dippin' dots and get bananas to stay pretty while they are traveling.  We also did a lot of other things, but I wanted to highlight the awesome lab coat our professor was wearing.  I NEED to make one of these!
Jocelyn loves playing "tooka tooka"  She is a conductor, and she even gets on her walkie talkie and calls for the next trains.  tooka tooka 1, tooka tooka 3. haha!

This girl may cause mommy to have a heart attack...or run up the medical card bill.  Clinton and I got a wild hair to redecorate our bathroom and bedroom.  Yes, finally after six years of living here, we are working on making it more homey and our style.  Anyway, we were touching up some stuff in the bathroom, when we started hearing giggling.  This girl had climbed all the way up the ladder by herself and was laughing hysterically at the top.
 Daphne being silly
Popsicles make a hot day much better.

The girls were shooting Bryson and he would dramatically fall down into the water

Jocelyn tried to convince us that she was a baby and not a big girl.
Looking carefully at daddy's paint job.  He did a pretty good job!  I love this color in our room.
Daddy and the girls playing in the living room.  The three of them played for hours, jumping on daddy and letting him carry them around the house on his back.

 Bwahaha!  I'm such a geek!
While Daphne spent the night with Mimi and Paw, Jocelyn found out how much she LOVED Woody.
Playing around in the play room.  She has such an imagination!
On July 27th , a got to meet my nephew Jenson Campbell "Jace" Weaver.  He was 6 pounds 13 ounces and 21 inches long.  He has a great set of lungs on him.  He was a month early, but he definitely is healthy.
He looks so much like his daddy it's not even funny.  He got daddy's finger toes and mommy's nose and dark hair.
While cleaning out some boxes, the kids thought it would be fun to play in the soap.  Jocelyn especially.

Daphne, however, did not really take part in the fun.  She watched from the hill, a safe distance away from the mud.  She didn't want to get her dress dirty.  That dress is the "go to" outfit for her because she would wear it everyday if I'd let her.  I had to finally force her to put it in the dirty clothes hamper to be washed.
 Getting way down dirty.
