new updates...

So I am once again slacking about updating this thing. I know, I'm not getting off to the GREATEST start in the world, but oh well. The past few weeks have been a major blur. Since we updated this, we have spent a whole lot of money on the baby room getting stuff for her. We bought the furniture, the infant seat, the monitor, basically everything that was on our registry that was too expensive for most people. We thought about it and we didn't want my parents buying everything for us, which we knew they would if we didn't get it ourselves. We wanted to attempt to get some stuff, and let them get the stuff I know they really wanted to buy, like clothes and toys in the future. I will have to take pictures of everything once we get them unpacked to show off. (May 17th)

That same weekend, we watched Brian finally graduate from BLET (police academy) and then we took him out to dinner with the family. That was an interesting weekend, to put it lightly. People are dumb, that's all I want to say about that! (May 16th)

The next weekend was Memorial Day weekend. Clinton and I went to the cabin to get away from Hickory/Newton and to spend some time together. We had a lot of fun. We met Shannon's friend, Jen, and learned that I am a good hiker, even at 7 months! We explored the Linville Falls, the Caverns, the candy store, and managed to look through the shops on the parkway. Shannon and Jen left on Sunday, so Clinton and I were hoping to be able to spend the day just lounging around, maybe going to the bookstore to get him a book (because certain people forget themselves). Brian and his girlfriend ended up stopping by, so we went out with them for awhile to get out of the cabin. I beat Clinton at chess and he won the Chinese Checkers game we played. Overall, it was a really good weekend.

When we got back, we decided to start looking for pictures to be painted on the baby's wall, and colors to paint the rest of the walls. We decided on a very pretty picture of pooh and his friends on the big wall with pooh's tree, and then on the small wall where the closet is, will be a picture of pooh in the air with his balloon and bees all around. The two side walls will be a very light green, and the wall with the balloon will be a pretty light yellow color. Then we thought it would be fun to paint clouds on the ceiling, so that's what we are going to do!

Tomorrow, I am going to put up lots of pictures of all of this so it is not just a bunch of writing all the time!

Baby pictures...

We know we have the cutest baby in the world and she's not even out yet :) This week, we went to get sonograms in 4D of our beautiful child. It was really cool getting to watch her move around, we even got it on video. Clinton loves it so that he can use it to show her boyfriends in the future! She likes to sleep like mommy does on her belly (prebaby).
We are really hoping this is HER leg and not another baby. She is playing with her hands and feet with a big smile on her face.

This was taken on Wednesday when she was asleep the whole time. We had to go twice because Wednesday she was asleep and didn't want to come out of my hip area, and on Saturday she couldn't stop moving! The lady asked on Wednesday to make sure she was up, and she really followed directions...almost too good! It was hard to get very clear pictures because she was moving so much. It was a lot of fun though.
On Sunday, I got my first Mother's Day flower. I was so excited. We went over to my grandparents for dinner with the whole family. Mom listened to the crazy pregnant lady and made an entire salad bar for everyone, even though grandma thought she was dumb for doing it. That's what she gets for listening to me :) but I was extrememly happy about it! It made us both happy. Then we also had chicken and steaks, but I didn't feel like really eating anything but a baked potato and my yummy salad. We were there for a really long time, even though I didn't say all that much to one of my cousins. He is still on my not-nice list because he didn't come to our wedding and never apologized for it, at least to me. He's too afraid of me for some reason...probably because I would tell him that he is dumb like no one else has the guts to do.
We are also concerned about poor Cole because he has a bladder infection. He's heading to the vet tomorrow so hopefully they can fix him. Oreo was attacking my belly today while I was asleep because the baby was moving around and she could see my belly moving. It was very cute because I woke up halfway through her craziness. It will be interesting to see how all of our little children act when the baby gets here!
