Building Cars

Daphne and Jocelyn saw these wooden cars at Lowes while we were out and about one day.  It came with all the parts to build a car.  The girls and daddy built a fire truck and an ambulance.  Daphne did most of it herself.  She did great!

Sleep over

The girls had a sleep over with each other in the igloo tent.  They wanted to build the tent in the afternoon and sleep in it all night.  We put it up in Jocelyn's room, and they both slept in there all night.  It was adorable listening to them both through the baby monitor, talking late at night.

Clinton and I went out on a date!  Without the girls!  We were invited to a semi-formal "Dancing with the Stars" even at the Crown Plaza.  It was very nice.  Ms. Barbara from preschool gave us two tickets.  It was catered, and we watched the competition.  It was a great night out.  We got all dressed up and enjoyed spending time with each other.  We even stopped for coffee/hot chocolate when it was over.  We don't go out just the two of us very often, so this was a wonderful night!  Thanks Ms. Barbara!

Halloween - Ariel and Izzy

We went trick or treating in downtown Hickory for a bit, and then headed to Mimi and Paw's and Mawmaw and Pop pop's houses.  Charity and Bryson went with us.  Bryson was a ninja.  Daphne was Ariel.  Jocelyn was Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  (Disney Junior show)

We also go to watch Daphne play in her last soccer game of the season on November 2nd.  Brian, Lauren and Jace came to watch.  Jocelyn wanted to hold Jace, even though he is just about as big as she is.  She also had to wear her boots because she loves them!

Annual Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkins!  October is a time for carving those pumpkins.  That's exactly what we did! 

 Jocelyn really got into pulling the guts out of her pumpkin.

 Daphne did most of the inside of her pumpkin by herself!
