Daphne's birthday, etc...

Friday, August 7th, Daphne had her little party at daycare. Then we went to Chili's for dinner with my wonderful and amazing coworkers. Saturday, we had a party for Daphne at our house with friends and family. It was great. People came, had fun, ate food, lots of presents for her to open, all was good. Cupcake cake for daycare.
Daphne didn't really know what to do with the cold ice cream.

We are still trying to figure out the correct way to use a spoon!

Daphne and Patty playing outside of Chilis.

Our front door all decorated.

The table o'food. Notice my castle cake. It turned out pretty good, and I was told it tasted really yummy and moist. That quote coming from Donald, which, if I get that comment, I must have done something right :)

Playing in the ball pit. Yes, Brian was just in it too.

Daphne in her princess crown.

blowing out the candles. She couldn't quite figure out what to do with it, so mommy had to help.

slowly sticking her fingers in her mouth to taste the cake.

I think she has decided that she likes the cake.

oh she loves the car

Daddy having to open all of the toys right then!

Daphne liked her seat :) She pulls it down from the table just to sit on it.

riding the car in the house

helping daddy build her castle slide

thinking of going down the slide...

wheeeeeeeeeeeeee...

eating snack on our new table
yes, unfortunately she likes the chair. i believe i have some red ribbon i am going to use to make it look MUCH better :)

Daphne got "Milo and Otis" for her birthday and this was the first time she actually watched any tv and actually watched what was on it for more than a minute. She watched so much of it she fell asleep!

Daphne got to have her first sleep over on Friday night. We went to the Y in Hickory to go swimming in the outdoor pool with Shannon, Carly, Anna, Stacey and Morgan. We all had a really great time. We had so much fun that Carly and Anna didn't want to go home, so Clinton and I had them over for Daphne's sleep over. It was so adorable. Daphne tried all night to stay up with them and be right there with them, until she just couldn't take it anymore! Clinton made "spaghetti better than Anna's dad" and I made really yummy breakfast :)

The girls played Rock Band for quite some time. We all need to practice :)

Daphne loves spaghetti. Isn't it obvious?

First time for bubbles. Once we figured out what it was, we had lots of fun with them.

Bryson on the rocking horse

Daphne and Boots (Dora's monkey friend) have become inseparable. Yes, most of the time Boots finds himself stuck in her mouth, but that makes them much closer friends!

Random pictures

Here are some random pictures of the last few weeks...ENJOY! Daphne fell asleep during dinner. She was very tired.
Gem mining in Boone with daddy, mommy, Brian, and Lauren.
Daphne helping daddy look for pretty rocks.
Look daddy, I found one!
Clinton, Daphne, and I went to the park in Blowing Rock after gem mining and looking in shops. She loves the park so much.
She thought this was fun, the big bubble.

Crawling to daddy

Ok daddy, let me down, I'm ready to go!
ooh, mulch!

They are patiently waiting on someone to give up the baby swings.

yay for swings

gotta love the toothy grins

Playing with Chloe at Glenn Hilton Park. Daphne tried to take over all the toys several times.

They were cute trying to figure each other out. They were very jealous of each other though.

This is what happens when the two of them are very tired and waiting patiently for me to finish making dinner. It was absolutely adorable. I love them.

Who doesn't love that smile? I finally got a good picture of her cheesing for the camera! I was so excited!!! She makes this face every time I pull out the camera, and she always stops before I get it turned on and ready to go.
Bryson let us borrow the zebra so we could play on it. We are starting to become comfortable with it.
Riding around the neighborhood in our wagon. Of course, Sid and Boots (the monkey in her hand) are not enjoying it as much as Daphne. We ride around quite a bit in the neighborhood. It is really helping mommy lose her weight :)
