Spring Break through Mother's Day and everything between...

The girls and I did a lot of running around and playing during my Spring Break.  Here is a recap of a few.  We had Kindergarten Screening on May 18th for Daphne.  Oh the fun that was.  The teacher that screened her came back shaking her head saying "oh my goodness. oh wow!"  Apparently Daphne had to finish ALL of the puzzles before she could leave, and knew exactly which ones she had not completed every time they tried to take one away secretly.  She also kept building a castle or other building while answering the rest of the screening.  The teacher said it was wild watching her because she barely looked at the book while she was answering the questions and building her house.  It was too funny.

Kindergarten Screening.  My baby is growing up :(
Mommy and the girls had a girls night out.  We went to Japanese (surprise, surprise) and got a movie.

For mommy's birthday, we went to the Science Center and the Zara Baker's playground.

I have wonderful ladies that gave me a goodie bag of old people stuff for my birthday.  Anti aging cream, jumbo word searches, bladder control pads, Fixodent, and so on and so forth.  It was hilarious!  Ringing in 30 wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  We also had a wonderful birthday party for me, thanks to my husband, Catherine, and Emilee.  Of course it was beach themed.  "Life's a beach...then you turn 30!"  haha!
One of my students made this.  It was so sweet!
 Mother's day 2013!

Oh how I love this.  Two of my bedmates!

Spring Break Beach Trip 2013

Over Spring Break, the girls and I got to go to Myrtle Beach with Shannon and Mallory.  We only went for a few days, but we had a blast over those few days.  We didn't get to go into the ocean because it was FREEZING!  We did enjoy the hot tub (Daphne's favorite) and the lazy river (also, Daphne's favorite).  Jocelyn was right there with the big girls the whole time.  Jocelyn's favorite part of the trip was definitely the animals.

 Someone was TIRED!

 Bucket head!
Mommy, Daphne, and Jocelyn dared to go on the pier.  If you know me well, you know that I am absolutely TERRIFIED of heights.  (yes, I know I still go to amusement parks and do crazy height things).  This pier was a lot higher than it looked once we got out to the end, but sure enough, I continued to the end and stayed there while the girls looked over the edge with tons of excitement.
Both girls couldn't get enough of the beach, they were even looking at it through the window while everyone else was changing.

 My feet!
Mommy and Jocelyn at Joe's Crab Shack.  Daphne LOVES shrimp...especially coconut shrimp.  Is she my kid or what???
All of us at Joe's Crab Shack!  Daphne and Jocelyn were dancing to the music while we were eating.  It was quite funny!  Luckily, the girls don't have all of my "talents"...dancing being one of them!  They have a little rhythm :)

Daphne at the Alligator Adventure looking at all the tortoises.
Alligators!  Daphne got to hold one of these things while we were here too!
 The instructor wrestling an alligator.
Jocelyn getting ready to pet the alligator.  She was a little nervous about it.
 Daphne petting the alligator.
Now she is holding it.  She did a great job!
Albino alligators.  They were crazy old too!
Jocelyn and Shannon looking at the alligators.
This tiger was crazy!  We haven't seen a tiger so active before.  He was jumping on the trees, playing hide and seek, and even running around.  It was pretty neat.
So close!  I would love a bird like this (not really, but it would be cool for awhile)
Jocelyn pushing Daphne around the Alligator Adventure.
 Alligator riding
Snake touching.  Daphne wasn't afraid of ANYTHING while we were here.  She wanted to get right up there with the instructor.
Daphne holding the tortoise all by herself.

Picture fun at Tiki Jim's!  Yes, mommy loves that store

 The girls riding the dinosaur.
Jocelyn was in LOVE with the monkeys. They were all over the place at the Alligator Adventure.  They would follow her every time she would come close.  She would go look at something else, then keep running back across the room to the monkeys.  It was very cool.  We know where she comes from!!

Needless to say, the girls had a wonderful time while we were here!
