beach pictures finally

I finally got the beach pictures back from Walmart, so here they are. Let's put it this way, Daphne absolutely LOVES the ocean!

Saturday, June 4th we left for the beach. It was a long trip, but it was definitely worth it. We got down there and got unpacked, and Daphne had to look through ALL the cabinets in the villa. We went to play on the beach for quite some time and then we went to the Wings store to get some sand toys. Brendan and I went back out later to the beach to skim board. We weren't so good and got shown up by 12 year olds, so Brendan gave the boy his board. Then we picked up pizza on the way home to eat and watch the fireworks. Daphne was so excited about the ocean that she literally did not sleep any that night. It was not a fun night for Clinton and I (nor anyone in the next rooms!) I ended up staying on the balcony most of the night so she could point to the ocean every few minutes and say ooooooooh. It was cute (just not right then). Sunday morning we woke up pretty early and went down to the beach. Brendan and Clinton built a sand castle while Shannon, Daphne and I played in the sand and the ocean. We got really good at walking to the ocean and not crawling. We didn't like the sea shells on our knees so we learned really quickly. Sunday night, Daphne stayed with mom and dad while the 6 of us went to Hard Rock for dinner. It was good, but some of us didn't realize how expensive it was going to be. I'm glad Clinton and I were prepared! Monday we went to the beach for the morning, then went to Liberty for a late lunch/early dinner. We also went shopping at Broadway at the Beach for quite a while. Brendan and Clinton both built cars at the build a bear for boys place. They got to decorate their remote controlled cars with all kinds of stuff however they wished. It was really neat. It was actually called RideMakerz but we liked our own name for it. :)

I have several pictures of us on the beach with the sandcastles, but they are on a waterproof camera. I am getting the pictures tomorrow and I'll post them then! For now, enjoy tons and tons of pictures!!!

Tuesday

Tuesday was eventful. We went parasailing (all 6 of us) and then played on the beach. We celebrated Lauren's 21st birthday at Margaritaville. It was good. We all had fun. Parasailing was pretty neat. I was not scared once we were up there!

The balloon lady came to our table to make lots of hats. Brian got a sombrero and Lauren got a crown since it was her birthday.

Wednesday

Wednesday was Nascar Speed Park. We stayed there just about all day. I was so ill with Brendan because he thought it would be funny to spin me out every chance he got. I spun him a few times, but once I had to sacrafice myself. It was definitely worth it! Brian and Lauren got hurt halfway through the day so they went home. It really made Clinton and I want a couple for when Daphne gets a little older. (of course, we would have to buy three so we could all race around the neighborhood!) Then we bought fireworks on the way home and set them off on the beach on Thursday. That was fun! They were so pretty!!! We also went to Barefoot Landing to look around for awhile after dinner.

Daphne got to ride on her first carousel! She loved it and really didn't want to get off. She cried when we left. Yes, she's in her pjs! We decided to go to Barefoot Landing after mom and dad had given her a bath while we were at the Speed Park. haha, she enjoyed herself so much!

Thursday

Thursday we went to Broadway on the Beach to meet Zak for lunch at Uno Chicago Grill. He got to meet Daphne for the first time. For those of you who don't know Zak, he is Clinton's best friend from home and he hasn't been able to see him since Zak joined the Navy. He's a great guy. Of course, Clinton was very happy and so was Zak. After Zak left, we went to the seafood place to eat. It was good, but not the best place we have ever eaten.

Friday and Saturday

Friday we played on the beach all day long and then went to play putt putt. We went to Dicks for dinner. That was interesting. Shannon and Brian didn't like it as much as they thought they would, but at least now they can say they have been. Clinton and Lauren had fun being smart elecs about everything to the waiter!
