The weekend and birthday update...

My birthday was wonderful. It was a good day and then we came back to the house and dad and Clinton played Wii golf for almost 3 hours! Before dad got to the house, Clinton was working on his computer and our oldest son Mac decided that he wanted to help. The boys were so cute working on the computer, and Mac seemed very interested in what was going on inside.

Oreo and I are sitting on the couch relaxing after she got her stitches out. We were waiting on the rest of the family to get to our house, and she couldn't get enough of Clinton rubbing her belly in between.
This is dad's attempt at making "25" out of candles. He tried real hard. I got several shirts from "Brian" and some scrapbook stuff and a printer from mom and dad. Shannon gave me this necklace that said "sing like no one is listening." It's really cute. Emilee gave me a music card and a gift card for Maturnity Motherhood to buy some summer clothes that were cute. Clinton gave me two nice shirts and a pair of capris. He also gave me this shirt that said "touch my belly, lose a hand." I also got this really amazingly nice windchime that has frogs on it. It was really heavy and it is guaranteed for life. I was really happy since my bamboo ones finally died outside.

On Saturday we went to Amanda's wedding. It was very simple but nice. We had a good time dancing with Stacy and George. The food was good for being the country club. The rest of the weekend we just laid around or cleaned the house. It was a random weekend of stuff that we did. We had to take my printer to get fixed because it wouldn't work correctly with my computer. It does now and it's wonderful. We also watched Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, which was cute. It was a little sad but the message behind it was cute. I also talked to Catherine and she is coming down this weekend to hang out a bit. Tiff worked her first big expo at her new job and she seemed to really like it. I hope it stays that way because she is really good at what she does.

oh wow...

oh wow at how long it has been since we last updated this! Okay...so here goes...we have been on the move quite a bit the last week or so. I went to a jewelry party, yippie, and got a really cute anklet for me and something for mom for mother's day. Then it was work, work, work for a few days. We finally went out with Stacey and George for the first time in over two months! It was so fun though. The boys were being hit on by the waiter, and of course they flirted back just enough to get our drinks and salads free. Stacey and I were laughing the whole time!

Friday night we had our friend Beth a 50th birthday party at El Chapala in Hickory. She had no idea we had been planning it for two weeks. I love hole-in-the-wall places to eat, but they are usually the best food. I had decorated the table with lots of 50 stuff and John, Brenda, Clinton, and I were sitting there for like 30 minutes before Beth and Mike showed up. Mike had to physically push her over to our table because she was oblivious to us waving our hands frantically in the air. We had to wait another 30 minutes almost before Patty, John, LaGina, and Gene decided to show up. They kept getting lost because some of them were not from around here. LaGina just didn't remember the name of the place so she and her husband kept driving right past it. We were there until like 9:00, and then we ran to my grandparents house to get her truck.

Then I ran to mom and dad's and picked up the seed spreader and met Clinton at Lowes. We got the grass seed stuff and the last of the retaining block for the yard. Saturday Clinton got up really early and started working on the yard until Brendan got to the house. I went by mom and dad's to get my headlight fixed. Dad called me at like 8 and said that he would fix it for me to save us a little money. We greatly appreciated that one! Shannon and Brendan came to our house to help at like 2:00, and the boys were working on the yard and wall until like 8, even in the pouring down rain! My hormones enjoyed a sweaty husband working in the yard ;) Shannon and I got some stuff to work on scrapbooks with since I figured I needed to begin the ones I started a year ago for the bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, and our honeymoon. My goal is to finish them before the baby comes. I am trying to keep myself busy this summer so I don't go crazy. Between Shannon's math class (yay i am very excited about this one...really), my scrapbooks, and the baby's room, I feel my summer will be busy. I like busy though. Then Shannon and I got some dinner for the boys and we rented two movies, Juno and I Am Legend. Juno was really cute. We had to stop it in the middle though because there was a tornado warning for Maiden for like an hour. It was kind of scary because I had a really weird dream two nights before about our house being torn down by a tornado. (My dreams have become very vivid and random.)

Today we plan on taking it easy. Clinton is making me breakfast because he is an amazing husband. Then Clinton plans on working on the yard a little more, then taking the truck back to my grandparents. We have to pick up his car at work, and I am going to do a little school work. Hopefully we will be able to watch I Am Legend today and then maybe working on one of the scrapbooks.

On a big exciting note, Clinton felt the baby kick for the first time on Thursday night. He was so excited he grinned even in his sleep! Every time he touches my tummy, the baby kicks or moves. This time he actually felt what she was doing instead of just me telling him she is moving. It really is amazing and I know he is excited. He will be a wonderful dad. The baby already has him wrapped around her little finger, and she's not even born yet! Imagine how bad it will be when she comes out!!! Our other baby girl had all her woman parts taken out and her claws removed. She has been very clingy to Clinton and I since then. We don't mind though, she is very cute about it. The boys just keep looking at her and running away because they think they aren't getting attention. Of course they are, but it's just funny watching them. Cole is just happy he has his perch back at the top of the bookcase. I moved the books around to where it was just movies in the living room and books in the bedroom. That way, he would have a place to run away from Mac. Mac is still Mac. We love them. One big happy family :)

Joe's Surprise 25th!

We got to Raleigh on Saturday morning fairly early. Joe was already out and about with his mom. Tiff was in a fury to get everything decorated. It was so fun working on all of this without Joe knowing ANYTHING! Clinton went to the store as our little gopher while we decorated and started cooking. It was so funly decorated with different fiesta gear. Here is what our table looked like after we finished. We also made Joe wear this wonderful outfit, complete with a sombrero. He looked like a big dork! He got a lot of awesome things, including the amazing game of Apples to Apples (given by us)
Tiff had a cake made into a sombrero to go along with the fiesta theme. It turned out very pretty. It was a cute little cake, just big enough for everyone. Sabrina and LB were there, and so was Sam and Sherry, Max and his mom, and Billy and Beche. The cake was overflowing with candles...not something I am looking forward to!
We are working very hard. Joe was getting ready to whack the pinata. I picked out a wonderful pinata for the party and stuffed it with the cheesiest, funnest, random stuff ever!
Oh the confetti was interesting to get up. I did that especially for Tiff because I knew how much she would LOVE THAT! Poor pinata.
After the party, we went bowling. Everyone left except Clinton and I, and Sabrina and LB. It was a lot of fun. Of course the girls lost, but oh well. We had a huge handicap (me). Then we went back and played board games. Sabrina won Apples to Apples, the boys won Buzzword, and the girls won Guestures. We kicked butt on the games. It was a very good weekend. It sucked we had to go home early, but we had to attend a funeral for Clinton's coworker's grandson. Yeah it is a mouthful. My hormones are driving me crazy though because I cried during the whole dang thing and I hardly ever cry! So we came back and watched a funny movie and I worked on school work to cheer me up. Fun weekend :)

Operation Baby Registery...Complete

So we decided to go ahead and register for baby stuff since we have already had so many people ask where we are registered at. It was definitely an exhausting day because there are so many different things out there for babies, so many different brands, kinds, etc. that it boggles my mind. It took us forever to decide what would be better for us, but now that we have decided, we are excited. If only we would be able to afford everything...we would all be set :)

There are some really cute things out there for the little one! It was even fun looking at all the cute little pink stuff for our little girl :)
