getting ready for Christmas

So we have been getting ready for Christmas around our house. Here are some pictures of that. Daphne is really beginning to understand what is going on and it is ADORABLE! We also watched my friend Melissa's little girl, Chloe, for an afternooon. The girls played very well together. They are only a few weeks apart, and you would never guess that Daphne is the older one! Enjoy the new pictures! Daphne and Chloe helping me makesome dinner for them.
hmm, what do we fix?

The girls eating some lunch. Daphne is getting so big, she doesn't really like her highchair. (she doesn't mind so much when she is here just Clinton and I though)

The girls playing in the igloo.

Daphne and mommy waiting on daddy to get back from helping Brandon and Charity so we could take pictures.

Someone was helping daddy put up the Christmas lights! We eventually had to take these candy canes back, and now we have really pretty green trees! Yes, we are wanting to be the Grizwalds! LITERALLY!

A Daphne present!

Merry Christmas to us!

Someone is having trouble staying out of the Christmas presents. They have been shook like a hundred times now. It's a good thing we put up the breakable gifts, and decided against putting many under the tree yet! (yes, we are the weirdos who have ALL Christmas shopping done by the day after Thanksgiving!)

Does it make a sound?
uh oh, I've been spotted!
She is saying "lights" every chance she gets. Of course, it probably helps that our house is decked out in Christmas gear :)

Daphne and Mac playing together. Yes, your eyes are looking at the tree correctly. It is only halfway decorated! Someone started bringing the pretty balls and other ornaments to mommy, so we had to move them. We wouldn't have minded, but eventually the hooks started coming to us straight and wet, so we quickly had to fix it. :)

This is Daphne after we watched Rudolph tonight before bedtime, and I kept using her cup to make a ho-ho-ho in it. She mimicked me the rest of the night.
We are getting very excited about SANTA coming!!! We are very ready but still very busy like always!

Pumpkin carving and Tiff's Wedding...

Here are some pictures from pumpkin carving and Tiff and Joe's wedding. Everything went well. It was pretty and everyone had fun. They went to Disneyworld for their honeymoon. fun stuff! I hope they bring back Minnie ears for Daphne :) Clinton and I after I had been running around doing wedding stuff.
All of us girls (and a boy on the way!)

Jennifer, Tiff, Daphne, and me (and of course Jen's little peanut)

This was Daphne playing in her igloo with uncle Brian after "carving" her pumpkin. Obviously the markers won that fight. oh and no, her belly is not always that ethiopian looking!
Tiff and Joe saying their vows
the give away. Tyson (Joe's nephew and the little boy to the side of him) didn't want to be far from Joe the whole time until his mom had to come and get him.
Mom, Dad, and Daphne at the wedding
Daphne coloring at Chilis in Asheville with mommy, Aunt Shannon, and Aunt Tiff
all of our pumpkins we carved. Daphne's is on the left, then mine, then Brendan and Shannon's, then Brian and Lauren's, then Charity's
This was too cute. Bryson was holding Daphne while they were watching "The Grinch." Now, yes I know the timestamp says October, and yes that is the real date, but the girls wanted to watch it and so that's what they watched!

Obviously Daphne was entranced for a whole five minutes! It was one of the longest times we've seen her pay attention to the TV, other than when watching Milo and Otis. Now, it's almost bed time and she's about asleep in these pictures, but oh well!

Daphne was fascinated by the stem of her pumpkin

Showing Daphne the gooey insides.
Want some cupcake? I share (siiiiiikkkkkkeeeeeeeeee!)

Daphne in her halloween get up. and yes, we HAVE to wear the boots too.
Don't you love the hat? It actually fits this year! She is also wearing matching socks that goes with her sleeves that we had from last year too.

literally all over the place!

So...busy is not the word for it. This is the first time in a month I have even been able to download the pictures from my camera! So, I hope you enjoy them all! We are FINALLY all better from being sick. All three of us have had HORRIBLE sickness this month.

Daphne has new shoes that mimi and aunt shannon bought for her. Now...they hardly ever come off!
Playing on the board right before bed (yes, in her shoes)
look at the pretty picture
yes, pink ones and green ones with turtles and frogs and lizards on them

gotta love the face
we are now trying to put on ALL shoes
This weekend, we went to Boone to go to Linville Falls and Boone with Cassie (Clinton's sister) and her friend Callina. They both stayed with us all weekend. It was fun. Em came over on Saturday to hang out with all of us too. We had enchilladas and Em's yummy bean dip.

First part of the falls. I love when the leaves change colors!
All of the girls!

Our adorable little family!

Daphne in a tree stump

haha

Isn't it beautiful?

Ok, so this has been awhile. It was the weekend after I had been out of school all week for myself being sick. We picked Daphne up at Shell's and then helped mimi and paw work in their garage. Needless to say, Daphne enjoyed playing driving on the tractor while others worked.

We had even pulled out the bettle car for her to drive. She couldn't quite figure out how to use the pedals yet though.

Daphne reading her favorite book Old Bear in her shoes.

This was our poor little girl at 11:00pm at the Emergency Room. That was NOT a good day. 104.7 fevers, two urgent cares, several hour waits, and an ER trip all in one day. Yes, she also has the unc outfit on, but I figured germs could get on that and I wouldn't worry about it so much :) haha! Aunt Shannon put it on her when we got home, I had nothing to do with it!

We spent several days like this while she battled her flu and ear infection. I have never seen her not eat until then, but at least we got some pedialyte in her. I did enjoy getting to snuggle with her on the couch!
speed demon. We figured out how to push the red button to go fast
This is us on the trail to the falls this weekend. Daphne was getting tired and fussy, so we took a break to look at leaves, sticks, dirt, and rocks.

look at my collection of leaves mommy!
