baby shower #1 - Godfrey side

We have completed our baby showers, except for the one at the bank for Clinton. The first one was from my school before we left for summer. The second one was given by Tiff and Leesa for the Godfrey side and friends. The third one was given by Shannon and Randa for the Weaver side. I will have pictures of that one later. This one is from the first weekend with Tiff and Leesa. It turned out really well. The whole weekend was pretty fun actually. Curtis, Clinton's brother, came home from Iraq for a few weeks, so he spent the weekend here with us. Tiff came here on Saturday night late (after getting lost on a straight shot!) and then stayed until Monday morning. It was a really nice treat to get to have her here for more than a day. We went to lunch with mamaw and papaw at the mexican restaurant on Monday before she left. Overall, the shower was really nice. I was happy with it, and everything Clinton and I got for the baby :)
The cake everyone ate. It had rattles, booties, and diaper pins on it.
These are some of the decorations on the fireplace. I woke up on Sunday morning and Tiff had them already up and ready to go.
Leesa and I before the shower started. I apparantly have a hard time opening my eyes when I take pictures!
Some of the unopened presents.
Tiff's diaper cake. It turned out really pretty. I was excited about it. It had goodies on the inside.
Lots and lots of food.
lots and lots of presents, with Ronette smiling in the background.
Tiff and I before everyone got there. See Tiff, I do put pictures up of the two of us!
My crown I got to wear for the whole day. I also had a pin that was a pink stork on my shirt. It was a fun day :)

AMAZING Baby room mural!!!!!!

So we have this friend who is absolutely amazing! She painted this mural on the baby's wall for us. It is absolutely gorgeous. Yes I have said absolutely in several sentences, but it is the ABSOLUTE truth :) I took several different pictures trying to get the full view, but then I figured out if I stood in the closet I could get the whole thing!

This is an actual chalkboard for her to draw on!

We are so lucky to have this for her when she comes home from the hospital (and decides to jump out of my belly!) I am subliminally telling you to let me know you want one and I will give you her number so you can hire her. You know you want one! She can do anything you want from just an idea you have. All I told her was I wanted all of the characters on it and pooh's house and she ran with it. There are even dragonflies flying around the room. Oh we are so lucky!
