Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza!

We had our traditional pumpkin carving evening with the neighbors.  Daphne and Bryson carved theirs all by themselves this year.  They really did a good job.  Jocelyn did a great job painting on her pumpkin.  The two girls used the pumpkins we picked from the pumpkin patch.
Hmm...not exactly sure what to do with this.
 Slowly figuring it out...
 Working very hard.  Concentrating.
Oh yeah, I figured it out and it looks AWESOME.
Now onto the other side of the pumpkin.
Getting the guts out of the pumpkins. Charity with a knife...scary :)
Be very grateful for the inventor of the washable paint.
Oh we had it everywhere.  We even tried to eat some of it.
A clean Jocelyn and a happy Daphne.
We had to take a break from the pumpkin carving for a bit of a dance party.
Daphne trying to break dance.  I believe she will be like her mama.  Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Daphne's finished pumpkin.  It had sparkle eyebrows and everything.
 Still hard at work.
Daphne's pumpkin, Charity's pumpkin, mommy's pumpkin, and Bryson's on the bottom.
The two cheesers.  Jocelyn didn't quite make it the whole time.  She doesn't do well when she gets tired, and when she's ready for bed, she does not hesitate to sleep, no matter who is over and what is going on.

Pumpkin Patch with Lauren

Before Halloween, we went to the Pumpkin Patch up the road from our house.  It was pretty cute.  The girls had a lot of fun playing on the inflatables, the hay, the animals, and on the hay ride.
Jocelyn was determined to get onto those inflatables, even with the big kids jumping all around.
We did pretty good until we couldn't hang on to her anymore.  After that, we had to pull her back out.
Lauren tried to go with her, but couldn't make it up the wall with her.  She still enjoyed what she got to play on.
 Daphne playing in the hay.
At the top of the hay stack.
She actually jumped down.  We were so proud.
 Daphne riding on the horse.
She laughed the whole time.  It was funny because one of my former students was guiding her.
Jocelyn eating her goldfish.  She wanted to feed them to the animals, but we said no.  We let her feed them animal food.
 How sweet.
The two girls sitting on pumpkins.
Playing with the corn in the corn maze.
Daphne sliding down the inflatable slide.

End of Summer 2012

It's been a fun and exciting few months.  Here is a recap of the end of summer.  And they are backwards in order.  I have been fighting with this all afternoon.  Oh well.
 Park playing
 More park playing
The two girls playing at the sand box.
Soccer time!  We enjoyed picking the flowers a whole lot.  By the end of the season, we had two wonderful little girls left...Daphne and Elyn.  Daphne loves playing with Elyn.
Daphne playing games with mommy and daddy after Jocelyn goes to bed.
The three of them were arguing about who would sit in the car.  They obviously figured out how to play nice.
More soccer.  We ended up being the "bluorange" team, as the blue team had a few players left also.  We would continuously play the green team.  If you have ever seen the Mighty Ducks movies before, they were like "Iceland" haha!
Jocelyn was about 13 or 14 months when this was taken.  Needless to say, she has mastered climbing on EVERYTHING.
Daphne and Elyn playing with the animals.
See what I mean about the climbing?  She loves watching the frogs.
She will sit there for quite a while looking at them, trying to open the tank to hold them.
 My big dishes helper.
Daphne at karate practice.  She got bored with it after awhile because she had to keep doing the same thing over and over, and did not like sparring.
 Daphne being silly.
 All tuckered out.
 Silly girl
Trying to hide from the camera
Jocelyn is hiding in the box
 Yummy lunch
We are a big girl sitting at the table.  Let's just say the high chair won't keep her in :)
Daphne and Daddy love playing legos together.  We pulled out all of our old legos, and the two of them have been in heaven.

Daddy and Daphne fixing the holes in the walls.
 More wall spackling.
The two girls eating away...they are both bottomless pits.
Daphne, Bryson, and Jocelyn playing Rock Band.
Fighting over who is in charge.  Jocelyn can hold her own against the two older kids.
Jaybird became a big girl at the end of the summer.  We turned her crib into a toddler bed.  We thought about waiting, but she figured out how to climb out of it.
