We went to the Weaver Family Reunion at the Price Park off the Parkway. It was nice to get to see everyone. It was even better to watch the two girls run around and jump in the creek. We didn't get to stay more than a few hours because it started POURING rain. We cooked out hamburgers and hotdogs.
Daphne kept taking her shoes off, even though it was terribly freezing.d
Jumping off the rock
Since it rained at the reunion, we didn't get to go fishing on Saturday. Instead, we took the girls fishing on Sunday. They both caught a fish! It was amazing!
Jocelyn helping daddy reel in her fish.
Look look! I caught one!
Daddy had to help her reel it in, otherwise she would have been pulled in haha!
Daddy trying to fish himself. He had help.
Jocelyn taking a snack break.
Daphne getting her hook ready with crickets.
When we were finished, they were EXHAUSTED.
We had to carry our own tackle boxes.
Daphne has her tackle box from her first birthday. Pop pop put her nickname on it. Her nickname suits her well, as does Jocelyn, which is Jaybird. Both girls were blessed with wonderful grandparents who bought them both lifetime fishing licenses. This will help mommy and daddy every year when they want to go fishing.
Daphne caught her fish!
We are very glad the girls like the outdoors as much as their mom and dad.
