Camping with E and J

The girls got to go on their first outside the backyard camping trip.  I believe when it gets warmer again we will be going a whole lot more often.  They really enjoyed getting to sleep in the tent and run around outside all day.
Silly girls making faces through the bug net.

Hours of playing inside and outside the tent.
Our little family area around the campfire.
Clinton and Emilee early in the morning.  Thank goodness for coffee and hot tea to wake everyone up.
 Playing in the dirt.
 Caterpillars became their little pets.
Trying to figure out how to climb the tree.

 I see feet!
J gave Daphne the job of carrying the emergency pack.  She was very adamant about that.  It stayed with her the whole time, carrying the "snacks", and other very important things in case something happened while we were out by ourselves.  J kept quizzing her to make sure she knew everything that was in there, and she could tell him exactly what it contained and which part of the bag it was in.  It was very cute.
We went to the lake edge and the girls slowly got in it more and more.
See, it took all we had to get the pack off her back.  Sitting with Emilee!

Jocelyn and Daphne got in the lake up to their feet.  After a few minutes, they were in up to their knees.  Jocelyn had pants on, so we took them off so she didn't get them completely soaked.  The next thing we knew, she was bent over and her panties were wet.  Needless to say, we let her play naked in the lake.  Daphne joined her shortly.  Luckily, no one was there besides us.  Em and I carried them back to the campsite.
Both girls fell asleep very quickly after we got back.  Daddy took a nap too.  It's hard not to nap with them snuggled up.

After lunch and the hike, we went to the beach.  The place we camped was near Statesville, so it wasn't too far, and it had a great little beach area.  It was warm enough to jump in, so that's exactly what we did!

I love that cute little face.
Someone put face paint on Daphne and she became camoflauged.  It was hilarious.  She would run around camp "hiding" to see if we would notice her or not.
 Leaf Girl!
Do you see the big stick?
Nothing over there by the picnic tables huh?
 That's one really big log!
