Halloween 2012

Halloween was a very tiring day for mommy and a very exciting day for Daphne and Jocelyn.  Mommy had been away at Haw River for 3 days, and came home Halloween afternoon.  We hurried home to get all of the students dropped off, then ran to get the girls at school. We got dressed and went up to Hickory to go trick or treating.  We were a little hesitant because Jocelyn did something to her arm to the point of screaming every time she moved it for quite a while.  We decided to hold her for just a little bit so Daphne could get a few houses under her belt before we headed to the doctor.  Luckily, by the end of the night, Jocelyn was feeling better.  It scared mommy and daddy to death because she wouldn't move her arm at all, and mommy couldn't really hold her for very long because her own arm was hurting very badly.  Yay for daddy and aunt Emilee who took turns holding Jocelyn throughout the night.
Jocelyn was Pink Yoshi from Super Mario Brothers, and Daphne was Princess Peach.  Our neighbor Bryson was Mario.  Too bad Lincoln wasn't Luigi.  That would have been great.
Poor Jocelyn.  At least  her outfit was adorable :)
Princess Peach was a little nervous as we went to the first house.
Her first house, there she goes.  Mommy's little girl is growing up :(
Princess Peach, Mario, Yoshi, and Samurai warrior.

 Daddy and Yoshi
See! Look at all this great candy mom!
Jocelyn is enamored with lizards.  Shannon has a leopard gecko and I have a bearded dragon.  She makes the lizard sound every time she comes near them and HAS to touch them.  It's so cute.

Daphne and Bryson both fell asleep at the end of the night, driving home from mamaw and pop pop's house.

But not the energizer bunny.  She keeps going...and going...and going...and going...
Mommy and daddy went to a Halloween party at aunt Emilee's house the weekend before Halloween.  We were Clark Kent and Lois Lane. haha!
The whole week of Halloween was Spirit Week at their school.  One day was 70's day, another was pajama day, then super hero day, then western day, and finally nerdy day.  They dressed up every day.  It was adorable because on super hero day, Daphne wanted to wear her Super Girl halloween costume she had last year...it was a little small, but not too small to wear.  Jocelyn got to be Wonder Woman.  This was their western day outfits.  Daphne's outfit is a Halloween costume from two years ago.  Yep, that still fit too!  I believe this will be the last time she fits into it though (hopefully!)
