Easter
This year was Daphne's first Easter. She loved her visit from the Easter Bunny. She even dressed up for him. We decided to go to the cabin to spend the weekend with mom instead of staying around the house and going to church. Mom made a big lunch for us all to eat. It was very yummy.
Daphne's new outfit.
Clinton's wonderful work
I wanted to take a minute and give some recognition to my wonderful husband. He has been working very hard the past month or two on different things around the house. We have both been doing lots and lots of spring cleaning. These are pictures of our FINALLY finished landscape around the front yard. yay. Daphne and I love him very much.

long overdue...
So we have been on the move constantly here lately. I have three sets of pictures that I haven't put online, so here they are. The first set is what is left of the girls weekend in Raleigh. The second is from when we went to the Asheboro Zoo with Aunt Shannon. Daphne had fun, although half of the animals weren't there! We'll have to go back when it gets warmer. The last set is from last Saturday when we spent the day with our cousin Carly. We all went to lunch and then went to grandmaw's instead of my house, just in case the storm got really bad. Anyway, in other news, we have completed our baby proofing project, which we are happy about. Daphne is crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything. We are just hoping she doesn't start walking in the next too weeks! Time is flying by so quickly! Clinton has been working very hard these past few weeks to help me get things in and around the house completed and he hasn't complained at all. He's been wonderful and I'm so happy that he puts up with Daphne and me :) We are also signed up to be in charge of nursery one weekend in June. It'll be fun. We are trying to take a more active role in our church, so we'll see how that goes. We have also been hanging out a lot more with our neighbors now that they are back from Florida. Oh, speaking of Florida, Curtis is getting married in October, and we are flying down there to see him. He called and asked Clinton to be his best man, so he is too excited. That means we now have 2 weddings to go to in October. I'm guessing October is the new June for weddings?
Daphne at the dress shop. She was enjoying all the attention.
Obviously we love Goodnight Moon very much. I love the face.
Daphne wanted to help make pancakes on Sunday morning before we left!
Daphne is NOT interested in TV. She's more interested in getting into trouble when she can.
Fingers in the mouth
Daphne had to hold the map to the zoo. She was so excited. She even roared (literally) when we got to the bears and I told her that the bears made a roar sound when they talked. It was so cute. Mommy and daddy's little genius!
Aligators!
He sat and watched people for quite awhile.
Salamander. It's too bad Brian and I never saw THESE in the creek when we were little!
Oh I love my little family! They make me so happy :)

Daphne and Bryson have been playing a lot more together, especially since our weather did a 180 since the snow. Daphne and I also went to Raleigh for a girl's weekend to pick out wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses. They are so pretty and we are excited. I however, did NOT like driving in all that rain. We made it though :)

Science Center
This weekend was absolutely beautiful, so we wanted to make the most of it. Saturday we went to the Science Center to see the swamp animals and other things and do a few other errands. We also got our hotel for our weekend in Charlotte for the awesome band!!! That's right, we have AMAZING seats to see FLEETWOOD MAC!!! Yippie!!! Anyway, Daphne loved playing with all of the different science things about as much as daddy loved playing with them too. It was wonderful just getting to play around all day with our little family. We are getting excited about spring time so we can really go outside and play at the park and other fun things. It was too cold and windy on Sunday to go outside and walk like we wanted to. We were all bundled up ready to go and then we realized how cold it was when the wind was blowing. Needless to say, we got Daphne's and Mac's hopes up for seeing the pretty day again. We played indoors instead.
I am NOT a caged animal. I'm free, I'm free!
Mommy now has an excuse for getting to play on the slides again! She doesn't need to meet the height requirement like Clinton keeps saying I do anyway. Daphne wasn't sure how to react to the slide.
Now this is what we spent a good 30 minutes doing. Fishing. A woman after my own heart!
We just had to touch the fish every time we caught it.
Playing with the pully system. We raced daddy, but we lost. Someone wanted to try to pull the rope themselves.
This light really amazed her. We had to smack it a few hundred times.
ooh, lights!
This is our new ducky tub that aunt Tiff bought us before Daphne was born. It quacks and everything. It's actually pretty nice because she doesn't slip and slide like a mudpuppy does in the tub. And as long as we have our toys in our mouth, life is good.
splish splash. go under you silly animals. swim swim.

Oh, we have also started back swimming lessons this week. We are doing well and she is loving it. We also went to the doctors this week. We are now 14 pounds, 2 ounces and 26 inches long. We have a big head of 17.5 inches...all my brains have to go somewhere. So big!
