Daphne's 4th Candy Land party

Daphne turned 4 during the Olympic Games on August 8th.  We all had a very nice dinner at Dos Amigos with the family.  Daphne and Jocelyn has loved watching the Olympic Games with mommy.  Mommy LOVES the DVR!  We had days and days worth of the games, and it was great since we were getting back into the groove of school.  The first few pictures are from her crown at Carowinds, but the rest is from her party on the 18th.  She had several of her little friends over for hamburgers, hotdogs, candy, and root beer floats.
She sat very still the whole time while the woman was painting on her crown.
We even got jewels and glitter!

Ok...now on to the birthday pictures.  We had a Candy land theme.  That meant lots and lots of candy and sweets.
Mommy made a happy birthday sign for D.
Daphne's Candy Bar

Personalized treat bags...yes, they took this home as well as a bag of candy!
Lollipop lane for the sack race
The start of the Candy Land obstacle course!
The boys getting ready for the gauntlet at the gumdrop pass
And they are off...
Bubble blowing...
doughnut on a string eating...
M&M finding...

and EVERYONE had to try to find them...
We made it through!
Brian getting ready for some pay back after having whipped cream thrown in his face :)
After the obstacle course, the kids (big and small) started throwing water balloons at each other.
Brendan decided to spray whipped cream on my head.  Don't worry, he got a little payback.  More will come to him when he least expects it!

Mommy is getting a lot better at the cake decorating.
haha, even Clinton got a little whipped cream on him

Blowing out the candles
Daphne got a soccer ball gum ball, and Jocelyn was VERY interested in it
This has become our new favorite game!
What a smile!  Along with all of those Squinkies!  D feels like such a big girl because she has to play with them on the kitchen table and Jocelyn can't get them.
ooh, ooh, what is it!
That face shows the excitement of SOCCER GOALS!
Sugar high + goal building = interesting noises
Little girl on a sugar high.  We watched her stick her tongue out and in while running around until she litterally looked at us, then fell over.  haha
While daddy and Emilee were building the soccer goals, Daphne opened her other present from Emilee...an APRON.

This is Jocelyn in the background laughing while trying to run into the soccer goal
We like to eat a bite of pudding in our apron while taking a break from starting dinner.
