Christmas and the like...

We had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year!
All of the running around has left us pretty tired!
This is my taste tester's permanent seat in the kitchen.
When we had the snow, we got to play in it all morning long. Daddy and Daphne loved throwing snow on each other.
Daphne and Bryson playing in the snow.
Bryson jumping into other people's shoe prints.
Daphne standing in daddy's footprint
we love the snow

On Christmas Eve, Daphne loved all of her toys. He loved everyone else's even more, especially Cole's trucks! I think we have a tom boy in the making :)

All the little kids playing with their new toys.

Daphne getting a hug from uncle Brendan.
Daphne and cousin Brooks playing together. Now, look closely, Daphne has pushed herself in between Brooks and mommy. It's gonna be fun when she gets a little brother or sister! Can we say JEALOUS?
SANTA CAME TO OUR HOUSE!!!
Santa brought Daphne a kitchen set. We are getting very good at making imaginary yumminess!

Daddy helping Daphne open presents EARLY in the morning.

Daphne is patiently waiting on daddy to OPEN THE BLOCKS!

Look at my new animals!
:)

hmm, what did Santa leave me in my stocking?
he brought a...CANDY CANE!
MEANWHILE...
Where's my present???? I can smell it!
We went to mom and dad's house to open presents...
and mini Santa was there finding more stuff to rip open!

Look at my new boots! I am a shoe fanatic :)

Daddy, look at my new barbie.
Daddy got a new toy too! Gotta love that face :)
This makes a fun sound!
ooh! I love games.

More boots!

Mimi and Paw got me a jeep! Although we were a little nervous about it at first, we have now become very happy and excited about it!

Mimi turned 53 on the 26th! Yes, dad put all 53 candles on there too (or at least as many as he could fit on the cake)
After we went to mamaw and pop pop's for family time with the Godfreys, we came back to the house to bring lots of toys.
Uncle Brendan and Daphne playing with her new drum set from Uncle Brian and Aunt Lauren.

dad still playing with his new toy.

Coloring on our new singing drawing board.

Making sweet, sweet music

yes, they have stolen Daphne's new Cootie game, and are playing it at the table. And, yes, dad has the Barbie sunglasses on his nose. He is wearing them because he doesn't like getting beaten in a game, even if it is Cootie.

We laughed because Shannon won!

Daphne loves Cooties!

On Monday, dad brought over the jeep, so Bryson and Daphne took it out for a spin.

The jeep has a working radio!

And they rode off into the sun...
Mommy was chasing them when they went off roading, so a little more of this, and mommy will lose quite a bit of weight :) yippie for that!
Aunt Leesa got a zhu zhu hamster for Daphne for Christmas. Daphne loved it...Mac and Oreo went crazy!!!

It goes all over the place! Now, it is a light shade of pink. She couldn't decide if she wanted to eat a candy cane or play with the hamster, so she did both!

Sloppy joes are yummy :)

mmmm...mmmm.....good!

getting ready for Christmas

So we have been getting ready for Christmas around our house. Here are some pictures of that. Daphne is really beginning to understand what is going on and it is ADORABLE! We also watched my friend Melissa's little girl, Chloe, for an afternooon. The girls played very well together. They are only a few weeks apart, and you would never guess that Daphne is the older one! Enjoy the new pictures! Daphne and Chloe helping me makesome dinner for them.
hmm, what do we fix?

The girls eating some lunch. Daphne is getting so big, she doesn't really like her highchair. (she doesn't mind so much when she is here just Clinton and I though)

The girls playing in the igloo.

Daphne and mommy waiting on daddy to get back from helping Brandon and Charity so we could take pictures.

Someone was helping daddy put up the Christmas lights! We eventually had to take these candy canes back, and now we have really pretty green trees! Yes, we are wanting to be the Grizwalds! LITERALLY!

A Daphne present!

Merry Christmas to us!

Someone is having trouble staying out of the Christmas presents. They have been shook like a hundred times now. It's a good thing we put up the breakable gifts, and decided against putting many under the tree yet! (yes, we are the weirdos who have ALL Christmas shopping done by the day after Thanksgiving!)

Does it make a sound?
uh oh, I've been spotted!
She is saying "lights" every chance she gets. Of course, it probably helps that our house is decked out in Christmas gear :)

Daphne and Mac playing together. Yes, your eyes are looking at the tree correctly. It is only halfway decorated! Someone started bringing the pretty balls and other ornaments to mommy, so we had to move them. We wouldn't have minded, but eventually the hooks started coming to us straight and wet, so we quickly had to fix it. :)

This is Daphne after we watched Rudolph tonight before bedtime, and I kept using her cup to make a ho-ho-ho in it. She mimicked me the rest of the night.
We are getting very excited about SANTA coming!!! We are very ready but still very busy like always!
