We had a girls beach trip at the beginning of the summer. Shannon, Mimi, Mommy, Daphne, and Jocelyn all piled into Mimi's car and drove to Myrtle Beach. We stayed a few days. While we were there, we had a lot of rain and less than beautiful days, but we had lots of fun in the process.

The girls would play in this little pool, the lazy river, and the ever important hot tub. The hot tub was huge. It was a little smaller than a normal size pool! Since the water was pretty cold, we would go from the pool or lazy river to the hot tub. Jocelyn and Daphne eventually played in the indoor pool, but the outdoor pool was just too cold or it was too windy to get in.

Daphne caught these herself. She left them in the bucket for a day or two...needless to say the bucket and our house started smelling when we got home. I didn't realize they were still in there until we got home and I thought the dog had gotten into some imaginary trash!

Jocelyn is a fish and couldn't get enough of the ocean.
Daphne did pretty good too. Mommy took her out to jump over the big waves. While she was very nervous, she still had fun while she was death gripped to my neck.
Of course Jocelyn had to go out in the big waves too. Mommy was a little more nervous about taking her, but no fear Jocelyn had a great time!
Daphne wanted to get a wrap in her hair, so she sat patiently for 30 minutes while this woman did her hair. I've never seen her sit still so well for so long!!
While Daphne was getting her hair wrapped, Jocelyn and Mommy caught fish.

All of us are watching the fish being fed. We think this picture is funny because mommy had to stand on her tip toes in order to see over the bar!
One night we went to Build a Bear at Broadway at the Beach. Daphne picked out a tie-dyed bear and Jocelyn went to the other room to pick out a tie-dyed dinosaur. No, mommy did not help them decide...they just have good tastes. :) Jocelyn was obsessed with dinosaurs for a good long time, and called them "Roars." I bet you can't guess what she named her dinosaur...yep, Roar! Daphne named her bear "Rainbow."

Daphne was in heaven at Planet Hollywood. She talked the whole trip about going to the "big ball restaurant." When we went in and sat down, she saw her FAVORITE thing ever. She found the Pink Power Ranger! Whoo hoo!
