Snow bug
Daphne playing outside during the Christmas snow. Yes, she is outside with no shoes or clothes. She wouldn't take off her bee costume, nor would she wear regular clothes and shoes.

Playing in the snow from Christmas
Daphne and I got to enjoy some time in the snow at Christmas time. We went to play outside with Bryson, Charity, Brandon, and Brandon's brother. The kids had a great time. We made hot chocolate and snow cream to warm up after the kids were soaked to the bone, but filled with fun.

Merry Christmas...
Unexpected Christmas fiasco...
We got a phone call on the 23rd about 8:30 at night from Uncle Brian. He simply said "Daphne's Christmas present is broken and I'm taking it to the hospital." Clinton and I were very confused because he had told us they got Daphne a fake dog, and we were laughing since we figured Beckett (Brian's dog) got the dog out of the box. Ohhhh no. Brian was going to surprise her with a REAL puppy. We drove to the animal hospital and saw that the poor puppy had his eyeball hanging out of its socket! So, since we are all bleeding hearts, of course we couldn't say no way. We got him into surgery and they removed his eyeball. Now, Daphne has a new puppy that is a cute little ankle biter named "One-eyed Bart." (named after Daphne's favorite movie Toy Story).
Poor Bart after surgery. He wasn't happy for the first 10 days of being in our house. He is much happier now that he has no stitches and no cone on his head!

Getting ready for Christmas...
Lots have happened since our last post. We decorated for Christmas the usual Eddings way...all decked out. We added a few more lights to the house, which was very exciting. We tried to take Daphne to see Santa for the first time...that went very badly. She refused to get near the poor guy. At least she was very excited to talk about him coming to the house, along with looking at all the tons of lights around the neighborhood. This was such a fun Christmas for all of us. Daphne made it worth all our efforts of decorating.
This was as close to Santa as we would get with a smile.

Daphne got to ride the carousel without mommy being on the horse with her.
